The 100 day fix

Don’t do it!  Please, do not fall for the old “New Year, New Me!” diatribe.  I’m literally screaming this at the top of my lungs as the clock winds down.

I’ve indulged.  Ok, ok, I’ve done more than indulge.  I’ve binged to the high heavens.  It’s a habit of mine that always resurfaces, no matter how much time has spanned between my last fix.

I don’t want to be a new me. Not really.  But I do want to take control of my health.  You guys have heard me whine about this for awhile, and unfortunately, I’m still in the same boat. So I’ll spare you the sordid details surrounding my next “go round.”

I’ll refrain from checking in with the typical, New Year’s drivel about having a new attitude and outlook.

The fact is, I’ve always had the right attitude…it was my actions that never seems to add up.  Too busy, too annoyed, to stressed, to #overit to keep it going.

But I can’t afford to maintain my status quo.  Shorty is getting a little to rotund for my taste, and I know, just as well as you know, she’s picking up my horrible habits.

So, she doesn’t know it yet, but I’ve jumpstarted a mini-campaign of sorts.  One that will have us putting the pedal to the metal, for 30 minutes a day, for the next 100 days.

How many minutes are in a day? According to Google: 1,440.  We only need 30 of them.

So, let’s go!
